In SoundSwitch 2.9, we’ve made several user interface (UI) updates to give you more valuable information during performances and to display important status indicators.
New Source Selection Screen
In Performance Mode, we’ve introduced a new source selection screen, making it easier to choose your input type. You can now easily switch between our supported sources: “Ableton Link,” “BPM Detection,” “MIDI,” and “DJ Software.”
Improved Status Indicators for DJ Software
When using SoundSwitch in Performance Mode with DJ software (Engine, Serato DJ, or Virtual DJ), we’ve added a new, improved status indicator to help you quickly see if SoundSwitch is connected to your DJ software.
- Not Connected: If no connection is established between SoundSwitch and your DJ software, you’ll see a red LED status indicator with the text “Not Connected” in the top left corner. An information icon is also available, which you can click to get more details on why the connection hasn’t been made.
- Connected: Once a connection is successfully established, the status indicator will turn green with the text “Connected,” confirming that SoundSwitch is properly linked to your DJ software in Performance Mode.
Hardware Connection Indicator
We’ve also added a hardware indicator in the SoundSwitch header bar. This provides a clear, easy-to-read status of your connected SoundSwitch or supported hardware. The indicator will list all connected devices and their status. If multiple devices are connected, a number next to the hardware status will indicate how many devices are currently linked to SoundSwitch.
New Notification System
Lastly, we’ve implemented a new notification system to keep you informed with useful updates. This system will notify you if:
- A new update is available
- Your DJ library is loading
- Control One requires a firmware update
