Five Pin vs Three Pin Explained:
Although five pin connectors were chosen as the standard for the DMX industry, most DMX fixtures used by DJs have three pin connectors. Given this, we made the decision to use a three pin DMX connector in the SoundSwitch hardware.
Fixtures with five pin connectors are compatible with SoundSwitch. However, you will need to use a three to five pin adaptor. These can be purchased from any good lighting supply store.
