Exporting via Sync Manager with Engine DJ:
1. Enable SoundSwitch Export and Set the SoundSwitch Project:
- Open the Engine DJ Software and access the Engine DJ Preferences.
- Set the correct SoundSwitch Project that corresponds to your SoundSwitch Desktop Software. Make sure the path of the SoundSwitch Project matches, and it should end with ".ssproj."
2. Confirm Scripted Tracks:
- Once Step 1 is completed correctly, you can verify if your Autoscripted Tracks and Custom Scripted Tracks are present in Engine DJ. Look for the checkmark in the SoundSwitch Column in Engine DJ.
- If you don't see the checkmark for Autoscripted or custom-scripted tracks, double-check Step 1 to ensure the correct SoundSwitch Project is selected.
- Note: If you plan to use Autoloops for your audio files and haven't Autoscripted or Custom Scripted your tracks in SoundSwitch, the checkmark won't appear in the SoundSwitch Column.
3. Export Via Sync Manager:
- Export both your SoundSwitch Project and Audio files to your source drive, which will be used with your Engine Lighting Hardware. This source drive can be a removable USB drive or the internal drive of your Engine Hardware.
- In Sync Manager:
- Select the Sync Manager option.
- Choose which Engine Playlists you want to export to your source Drive.
- Select the source drive (USB/SD Card or Internal Drive).
- Click the "Export to Drive" option. This will automatically export the SoundSwitch Project, associated SoundSwitch Files, and your audio files from the selected playlists.
- The export duration may vary depending on your library's size and the number of Scripted Tracks during the first export to your source drive.
4. Confirm Export:
- After the export is complete, check the "SoundSwitch" folder on your connected source drive for the SoundSwitch Project to confirm the successful export.
Exporting via SoundSwitch Desktop:
You can also export your SoundSwitch Projects directly from the SoundSwitch Software.
Important: Exporting via SoundSwitch Desktop will only export the associated SoundSwitch Project and its project information. It will not export your audio files. Ensure that the audio files you've Autoscripted or Custom Scripted are also exported to the source drive used with the Engine Hardware to avoid issues with scripted tracks not playing back.
1. Export SoundSwitch Project:
- In the SoundSwitch Desktop Software, go to the File menu and select "Export Project."
- Choose the venues you want to export within the SoundSwitch Projects and decide whether to include the lighting files (Autoscripts and Custom Scripted files).
- Click "Export" and specify the destination. This destination should be the source media drive connected to your Engine Hardware.
- Ensure you export it to the "SoundSwitch" folder on the source drive. If this folder is not present, create a "SoundSwitch" folder at the root of the source drive.
- Optionally, name the project and click "Save."
- After the export, verify the presence of the SoundSwitch Project in the "SoundSwitch" folder on your connected source drive.
Note: The export duration may vary based on your library's size and the number of Scripted Tracks during the first export to your source drive.
