SoundSwitch 2.9 introduces exciting new features and improvements, including BPM Detection, enhanced Autoloops, and various workflow enhancements for SoundSwitch and Control One. The new features are broken down below:

TABLE OF CONTENTS

BPM Detection

The new BPM Detection feature allows you to connect any audio source to SoundSwitch, enabling it to detect the BPM and use it for Autoloops playback. This makes SoundSwitch more versatile for live environments, supporting bands, DJs, and venues with mixed audio setups. You can sync lighting with audio from DJ software not currently supported by SoundSwitch or streaming services like Spotify. Simply route your desired audio using a USB audio interface, a built-in microphone, or a virtual audio cable, and SoundSwitch will automatically detect the BPM and sync your Autoloops.

Autoloop Improvements

Increased Autoloop Count

We have increased the number of Autoloops to support 128 Autoloops, providing four banks of 32 Autoloops. This gives you greater control and more unique light shows. You can toggle between banks to show all 32 autoloops within that bank while in performance mode, which will be reflected 1:1 when using SoundSwitch with the Control One.

Edit Mode Enhancements

  • Rearrange Autoloops:  Easily rearrange the order of your Autoloops and move them between banks.
  • Duplicate Autoloops: Quickly duplicate Autoloops for more efficient editing.
  • Auto-Populate Empty Slots: For users upgrading from previous versions, you can auto-populate empty Autoloop slots to utilize all 128 Autoloops immediately.

Performance Mode Enhancements

  • Visual Feedback: Improved visual feedback for active Autoloops in SoundSwitch software with a progress indicator.
  • Control One Feedback: Enhanced MIDI feedback on the Control One device to easily identify active Autoloops.
  • Trigger Autoloops Anytime: Autoloops can now be triggered over a scripted track, providing greater control during playback.

Connection Status Indicator

We have made several UI changes to the connection status indicators to enhance performance environments. It's now clearer when you have established a connection with your DJ software. We have also added a DMX Interface indicator to easily see if an interface is not connected, which is useful in high-pressure performance environments.
