This guide explains where to find the new Virtual DJ 2023 library folder and how to set it up in SoundSwitch.

Virtual DJ 2023:

With Virtual DJ 2023, there's a fresh location for the Virtual DJ library folder. To ensure your VDJ playlists and folders show up in SoundSwitch, you need to configure this new path in your SoundSwitch Preferences.

The new library locations are as follows:

- macOS: \Users\YourUserName\Library\ApplicationSupport\VirtualDJ

- Windows: \Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\VirtualDJ

PLEASE NOTE: On MacOS, the Library folder is hidden by default in the Finder application. You can reveal the library folder in finder via one or both of the following ways:

Method #1:

  1. Open Finder. On the top toolbar, select Go>Home, which will bring you to your user home folder
  2. Select View>Show View Options while the home folder is open.
  3. Select Show Library Folder

Method #2:

  1. Open finder and select the Go option from the top toolbar. This will show a number of folders, including the aforementioned home folder, but will not show the library folder.
  2. Hold the Option key; the Library folder will now be shown and can be selected for navigation.

Note: If you've upgraded to Virtual DJ 2023 from an earlier version, your database will still be in the original locations listed below:

- macOS: \Users\YourUserName\Documents\VirtualDJ

- Windows: \Users\YourUserName\Documents\VirtualDJ
