Setting Up Decks 3-4 Mode in SoundSwitch for Serato DJ
If you prefer mixing with Decks 3-4 on your Serato DJ controller or mixer and want to configure SoundSwitch accordingly, follow these steps to set up Decks 3-4 mode:
1. Select Deck 3-4 Mode:
- Start by opening SoundSwitch and navigating to the SoundSwitch Preferences.
- Within Preferences, select the "Deck 3-4" option to indicate that you want to work with Decks 3 and 4.
2. MIDI Map the Faders:
- To map the channel faders for Decks 3 and 4 on your mixer to the Faders in Serato Video, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open Serato DJ on your computer.
Step 2: Open the Serato Video Plugin. Note that you do not need the full version; the demo version is sufficient for this purpose.
Step 3: Activate MIDI Mapping by selecting the MIDI button next to "My Serato" in the Top Bar of Serato Video.
Step 4: Right-click on the Upfaders within Serato Video and map these to Faders 3 and 4 on your controller or mixer.
Step 5: Ensure that the "Link" buttons below the Faders in Serato Video are active.
Step 6: Close Serato Video. Once you've completed this setup, you do not need to reopen Serato Video for subsequent sessions.
With Decks 3-4 mode configured in SoundSwitch and the MIDI mapping of channel faders in Serato Video, you'll be ready to mix with Decks 3 and 4 on your controller or mixer.
