Controlling Lasers with SoundSwitch

Using lasers with SoundSwitch requires a specific workflow to ensure proper control. Here are some key points to keep in mind when working with lasers in SoundSwitch:


Attribute Cue Control: Most laser fixtures in the SoundSwitch fixture library will require Attribute Cue Control. Attributes are used to control the individual features and functions of the laser. To get started with Attribute Cues, you can refer to available documentation or watch instructional videos.

Creating Attribute Cues: You need to create Attribute Cues that define the settings and behaviors you want for your laser. These cues allow you to control the laser's special functions such as patterns, movements, and effects. Attribute Cues must be created for each specific aspect you want to control.


Autoscript Tool: SoundSwitch provides the Autoscript tool, which can automatically add the Attribute Cues to your scripted tracks and Autoloops. Without the creation of Attribute Cues first the Autoscript tool will not be able to control your Laser fixture.


Laser Fixture Manual: It's important to refer to the fixture manual for your specific laser fixture. Laser fixtures often have different operating modes and settings, including DMX modes. Ensure that your laser is correctly configured and set to the right DMX mode as per the fixture manual's instructions. This step is crucial for SoundSwitch to control the laser effectively.
